SEP as Replacement for TPSE/BP

The SEP is designed as a replacement for the TPSE, but with a higher workload, awarding more credit points, and of course facilitating early contact with industry.
The topic and type of work is comparable between the TPSE and SEP, but the SEP involves real industry partners instead of university-internal clients. You’re still developing and deploying solutions for actual problems, using the latest technologies according to your and your client’s preferences.
We’ve had many partners over the more than 15 years of running the SEP, reaching from local startups to established industry leaders, and including names like SAP, Mercedes-Benz, or Telespazio.

Who can participate?

All students of the Computer Science B.Sc. that haven’t yet taken the TPSE may opt to take the SEP industry internship instead. Formal requirements for the two courses are identical, although we are especially interested in highly-motivated students that can work as a team and already have a decent skillset in software engineering.
If you’ve already taken the TPSE course but would still like to take the SEP in addition to it, that is also possible! Just follow the regular, non-TPSE procedure to register.

Interaction with the Teamproject Softwareengineering (TPSE)

The Software Engineering Project is a 12 CP course, which is higher than the TPSE (9 CP). This works by registering for two courses: the TPSE, and an additional 3 CP practical course. You can find more information about how to register for the SEP on the “Registration” page.
